The nearline (tape storage) system on Cedar and Graham has not reached a point where it is fully automated.  What we are currently asking is for users to collect data they would like moved to tape in a directory either in their home or project space, preferably in a <tt>.tar</tt> or similar archive format, then request that the data be moved to the nearline tape system by contacting [[technical support]].
