The Rorqual cluster will be deployed in the winter of 2025. It is made up of
- 670 CPU nodes
- AMD EPYC 4th generation processors, 96 cores x 2 sockets (192 cores per node)
- 768GB of DDR5 memory
- 480GB of SATA-6Gbps SSD storage space
- 8 large memory nodes
- same as the CPU nodes, but with 3072GB of DDR5 memory
- 8 large storage nodes
- same as the CPU nodes, but with 3.84TB NVMe of storage space
- 81 GPU nodes
- 4 x NVIDIA H100 SXM5 80GB
- Intel Xeon Scalable 4th generation processors, 32 cores x 2 sockets (64 cores per node)
- 512GB of DDR5 memory
- 3.84TB of NVMe storage space
- InfiniBand interconnect
- 200GB/s HDR
- maximum blocking factor of 34:6 or 5.667:1
- Parallel storage: several petabytes (details to come)
